The new 7-story Health Care patient care tower provides the mid-Missouri community with many of the latest advances in health care, including Smart Rooms and high-tech operating rooms, in a healing environment. The new tower included 6 new operating suites, 30 pre- and post-procedure rooms, 90 private high acuity patient rooms. Included in the new tower on levels 1 and 2, is the Ellis Fischel Cancer Center, which provides world class state-of-the-art cancer care. The cancer center includes 50 exam rooms.
The NoliWhite Group was retained in 2011 to provide equipment planning/procurement services to the project after construction had begun. MU selected NWG because of their ability to work with the hospital’s staff, designers, and construction team to fully coordinate the equipment specification and procurement process. In addition to equipment planning services, NWG was also selected to assist the university with transition planning services for the move into the new tower.
